Tropical Fish Sharks
The Blue Gourami, sometimes also called the 3 Spot Gourami is a tropical fish freshwater aquarium popular. These fish are usually a pale blue and have three spots, one on the base of the tail, one in the middle of the body and the eye that resembles the third. The type of gourami fish comes itself in several colors, the blue that you often see in pet stores, gold and opaline, and a few others back in varieties. These fish can grow very large and better suited for larger aquariums.
The blue gourami is a relatively easy fish to keep and will exist fine floating flake food that you feed probably most other fish in your tank. However, like most creatures, these fish do not need a little variety and it is good to put some freeze dried blood worms or brine shrimp frozen in time time, just to be sure they are all the essential nutrients they need.
If you buy a fish gourami which is very smaller than you might be able to start in a smaller aquarium, but eventually you'll have to get a 50 gallon or larger than the fish grows. This species can grow quite large and you want to be sure that you find suitable. You must also be sure you have a hot property on the tank as they, like many freshwater fish tropical, require the water temperature is between 70 and 82 ° F. Other conditions Tank a pH of 6.0 to 8.8 and a hardness of 5-35 dGH.
Since these fish are used for water thick vegetation found in their native tropical waters of the Far East, the Gourami will feel right at home if you have many plants in your aquarium. It is preferable to have at least 4 Gouramis in the tank and even better if you can get a mix of blues, varieties of gold and opal. The blue gourami likes the company of other varieties of Gourami. You can keep gold, blue, and opaline gourami together peacefully in the same aquarium. Curiously, if your tank has a single variety of gourami with other species of fish, gourami league against other fish. When you hold a mixture of gourami in the tank among other species of fish, the Gourami tend to focus on their own type and leave other fish alone. It is recommended you have a minimum of four Gourami in your tank with a mixture of different varieties.
The gourami may happen in the tank with other fish of the same size and can live in peace with barbs, clown loaches, Bala Sharks, Danios, Rainbow Sharks, Red Tail Sharks and Rainbows.
If you Take care of your Gouramis and provide conditions tank proper, they can live up to four years and grow to be 4 inches long.
