Glass Tropical Fish
The first decision you must do when buying an aquarium is whether to keep freshwater fish or saltwater fish. Depends on you if you want to keep saltwater or freshwater but if this is your first aquarium, then I suggest you start with a freshwater aquarium.
Here's why: salt water tanks are more expensive and more complex. You have more things to worry about how the water salinity, water treatment, and temperature. As a result, freshwater fish are much easier care, if you are new to keeping tropical fish.
Here are some other things to consider when buying an aquarium:
Location
When you're deciding on a location for your aquarium, remember that it can be placed in direct sunlight, or in any other place that could lead to changes in the temperature.
Also remember that your aquarium, when filled with water, can be very heavy. As an example, a 20-gallon glass tank full weight of 225 pounds. Keep this in mind when choosing a location for your aquarium ... it will be impossible to move afterwards.
At ground level
You need a soil level for your aquarium, as this will reduce stress on the tank and reduce the likelihood of cracking over time due to the plant to be mixed.
Electrical outlet
Make sure your new deposit is located near an outlet so you can connect the heaters, lights and pumps.
Accessible
She will have easy access to your tank so you can use heating controls and air valves. This is also important for a network space, and space to move around the decorations.
Shape
When you are choosing the shape of your aquarium to choose short, and forms taller, more slender form. Thus there will be more on the top surface of the water, which is much better for your fish.
Size
It is best to choose an aquarium over 10 gallons. Why? Because it's just easier to take care of a fish in a tank larger than a small one. Aquarium Whatever you choose, will over time, have a buildup of waste material. In a large tank of these toxic materials have more room to disperse. This means that water stays cleaner longer and require less cleaning of a smaller tank.
Material
Aquariums can be glass or acrylic. Both must be pros and cons, but I recommend beginners start with a glass aquarium. Why? First, they cost less, secondly, not zero, so easy, and thirdly, they need only be supported by the edges.
As you can see, you have to put some time and consideration in where you choose to place their aquarium. All these things play a role in the aquarium you choose to buy.
