What is the difference between tropical fish and cichlids?
or is there one? When I went to Petco had nearly two servings of fish. Tropical and cichlids. Any information would be great: D
People have the false impression of cichlids. Yes, some species are known to are very aggressive, as the Oscar, Green Terror, and others. But this shit kill any cichlids cichlid is not bull. I breed cichlids from Malawi and 7 dams have now. We have a tank of 180 gallons all male show. In this tank, also have different types of catfish (Featherfin and cute), a yoyo loach, 4 Plecos bristlenose, 6 darts tiger, 5 spikes Odessa, 2 bala sharks, a shark and red tail. Beards are smaller and not when they enter one of the cichlids hurt. Note that men are supposed to be the most aggressive and I mbuna, 2 drones. My husband tried to feed the guppies cichlids awhile back. He put in two small tanks and our dominant male, Corwin, actually defended. They were released two days later. The difference is that these fish have personalities. They're not just stupid slaves to swim and shit all day. Therefore, may be struggling as when two people disagree. Cichlids prefer harder water also with a higher pH. Fish are also very robust and have a life expectancy around 10-15 years with proper care. They are really a wonderful mix of fish. But because there are more than 800 species in Lake Malawi, excluding the species of Tang lake, Lake Victoria, New World, Central America, and so on, all persons concerned should investigate the species like to know what is the most compatible. Usually stick with the same area is the best bet. But do not let anyone scare you, because of the aggression. These are wonderful fish!
