best way to clean a 2.5 gallon acrylic tank with gravel, fake plant and ornament.?

I have seen magnetic cleaning devises and such, but looking for the best way to clean the tank, in addition to 25% water changes. Thank you in advance!

I have a few 2.5 Gallons and 5 Gallons tanks, I always feel those magnetic don't do the job very well and it do damage the surface of the tank. You know, I get a toothbrush and soak it in water a few time to make sure it is save to put it in my tank. Then, everytime I do water change, I just use the toothbrush to clean off algae that have been build up on the side of the tank.

Also, as ZooTycoonMaster mention, you do need to clean your gravel.

This means that we will still need to change water frequently to completely remove the impurities that are within the tank. While changing the water, it would be wise to rinse the pebbles to remove any dirt and dust. If you have any ornaments that are placed in the tank, you should also clean the ornaments to prevent any algae growth.
