I bought a decorative indoor (plastic) ficus plant .. but no pot! How do I get it to stand in a pot?

I bought a 6 ft. ficus plant (plastic) for my living room .. but it only came in a tiny planter pot .. how do I get it to stand in a regular pot?
what am I supposed to put in there to take up the excess room so it doesn't fall over?
do I fill it with dirt??
It says to purchase a "decorative pot" .. but where? and what do I put in the "decorative pot" to make my ficus stand up tight so it doesn't lean??

You can get a decorative pot in most craft stores or garden centers. I would stand it in the pot and fill around it with sprat foam insulation. It will swell to fit the pot and support the plant. Cover the foam with some sheet moss.
