Can a red tailed shark live with my cherry barbs?

I currently own a 37 gallon aquarium stocked with only 5 cherry barbs and 2 zebra loaches. Obviously, I woul love to have more fish. I have done a lot of research on red tailed sharks but nothing says they can or cannot live with cherry barbs and zebra loaches. If I could obtain this fish, would it live happily? And if i get one,would it limit the choices of future picks of fish?

Really I wouldn't suggest you put a red tail in any tank under 55 gallons. They require quite alot of open swimming room. And can reach 6" in length. But I suppose you could get away with a 37 gallon. Although if you ever get a bigger tank, I would move the shark to the bigger one. * If your shark starts to get aggressive, I have found that putting in plants and more places for it to hide helps ALOT. *

My red tail in my 55 gallon community tank, actually lives happily with 6 cherry barbs, and plenty of others. It shouldn't actually limit your fish choices. With my female I have a betta, if you'd like to put one of those it should work fine. Also tetra's, I have 4 schools of those, and no problems.
