Fill Valve
What is the fill valve on a toilet? Is it easy to replace? If it has gone bad could that cause a loud jarring?

Could a bad fill valve cause a loud jarring noise to occur after my tank has already filled back up after flushing? It's a really loud noise.

The fill valve is the device on the inside left of the tank.Water enters the tank through that valve .It is also where one would make adjustments for controlling the depth of the water.
A loud jarring noise is more likely what is known as water hammer,a phenomenon that occurs because of sudden pressure changes like those that occur when the water shuts off abruptly.
Anti hammer devices can be installed to control water hammer but it is likely you would need a plumber to do it for you.
