zoanthid coral!!!!! help!!!!!?

hi, i just bought a zoanthid colony of about 300 polyps and they have this like weird dead skin on them? what is it and why is it there???

It could be mucus produced to protect themselves from the sudden change of environment (I hope you acclimated them) or it could be necrosed tissue from stress.
