What does the sims 2 bubble with the counter top mean?

Ok. Every time I tell my sim to make cereal or something he/she freaks out and show the bubble in the tittle. Then puts the meal on the floor.

What gives?

Hey, there are a few options here...

the first one i thought it could be is the counter is reaaaaaaaaaaaly dirty, you will be able to tell because there will be a greeny patchy colour all over the top, to clean it click the counter and select clean.

option 2, there is something on the counter, it may be small so zoom in and have a look around, it might be a coffe cup or something.

option 3 , theres something on the floor in front of the counter like a bottle or something, again zoom in and have a look around.

option 4, if nothing is working, go into build mode and try and delete the counter, if the message pops up 'cannot delete item in use' then something else is going on, there may be a sim trying to access that counter which is why you cant use it or delete it, check around your household to see if anyones tryin to use it, if not, delete it and replace it.

If this still doesnt work, move the kitchen around, try and make it so the counters are easily accessable and away from the fridge. ANd make sure you make a wide space in the middle for all your sims to move around.
