Switching Fish out of Pond to Aquariaum?
About a month ago I switched my pond fish which are plukies and pecos to an aquarium. I have cleaned the tank several times but after a while I find like a snail or two on the side of the tank. It is not above water so I am not sure what it is. Could this have somehow got into my pond water and when I brought in my fish to the aquarium somehow they followed? I did have plants in the pond which I did bring into the aquarium but they were not doing so well so I took them out. Somehow I think these snail like things were on the plants when they were in the pond water. Does anyone know what these are and are they okay to have in an aquarium? Thank for your answers!!!

The "pond snail" can breed quickly, eat plants, and generally just be annoying. I don't find them to be a big problem as long as you don't over feed. (Snails need food too.) Ramshorns can have similar issues. The tend to come in on plants.
I think in my tanks either my catfish, or my bettas eat the pond snails, and ramshorn I've tried to establish in my tanks. Loaches like the khuli, and the clown are the best snail eaters. Pleco will often eat snails eggs, and the newly hatched snails. Also as far as the plants your pleco is likely to eat them, and/or uproot them.
Most other snails tend to be fine. When they eat plants it's when they were dying any way.
