Aquarium ornament - where do the bubbles come from?

I know this sounds stupid but, where do the bubbles come from in an aquarium ornament? My son received a Sponge Bob ornament that blows bubbles for his 7th birthday, do I run a pipe from the filter to the little nozzle on the back of the ornament?

The tanks aerator makes the bubbles, so you run the tube part from the pump under the gravel to it, and there should be a blue attachment that kinds looks like compressed sand, connect that, it makes more bubbles than just the tube itself and it will fit into or you push it into the decoration from the bottom.
